WARREN, Ohio (AP) -- A northeast Ohio man has been sentenced to five years in prison after racking up his ninth felony conviction of driving under the influence.
The (Youngstown) Vindicator (http://bit.ly/VOeMEQ ) reports that 49-year-old Ricky Slabaugh of Cortland also agreed to a driver's license suspension and pleaded guilty to misdemeanor child-endangering for having a child in the car when he was arrested.
Slabaugh was sentenced Monday in Warren. His latest arrest happened Sept. 9 following a crash. At the time he was driving on a suspended license. His license had been suspended 13 previous times.
Police said he was legally drunk and also had marijuana in his system.
