NORTHFIELD VILLAGE Twinsburg resident Justin Melinis is facing a first-degree felony charge of aggravated robbery for the June 2 robbery of the Northfield Village CVS.

Melinis, 29, of Twinsburg, was arrested June 20 in connection to the armed robbery of the CVS on Route 8. He was taken to Summit County Jail where he is being held on a $100,000 bond.

Northfield Village Officer in Charge Sgt. John Zolgus declined to comment on circumstances surrounding the arrest saying only that the arrest happened Tuesday evening and Northfield Village Police officers were involved.

"There is still an ongoing investigation, and we are being careful about what we are releasing so as not to jeopardize the investigation," Zolgus said.

He also declined to comment if there were additional suspects involved.

"Right now we just want the public to know that this man is off the street," Zolgus said.

Following the robbery, police said a man eluded them during a foot chase after brandishing a gun and telling a store clerk, "Give me all the money in the register."

Zolgus previously told the News Leader police believed the man is also responsible for robberies in Twinsburg, Oakwood Village and Warrensville Heights and that village police was working with the FBI on the case.
