Are you interested in getting your son or grandson signed up in Scouting but think you can't because you missed one of the local sign ups?
Is your son or grandson between sports or looking for something fun and exciting to do? New to the area?
It's never too late to join the Cub Scouts! The Greater Cleveland Council, BSA has over 45 Cub Scout groups meeting weekly across East Cuyahoga and Northwest Summit Counties.
Cub Scouts teaches boys new ideas and activities, citizenship, self-esteem, self-confidence, promotes physical fitness and is a great way to spend an hour together as a family each week. Cub Scouts is a "No Bullying Zone" where positive behavior and inclusiveness is promoted.
"As a Cub Scout, I discovered many new things and ideas. Cub Scouts helped to lay a solid foundation for my growth into adulthood. It helped me both in sports, school and in other activities I was a part of.
Most importantly, it is time well spent with parents, caregivers and volunteer leaders who help shape and strengthen bonds between youth and those around them," says Jason Setser, District Director of the Greater Cleveland Council, Boy Scouts of America.
Cub Scouts is open to all boys, ages 7-11, or Grades 1-5. You do not have to attend a Public School to join scouting.
Parents are encouraged to participate and even be leaders in their son's Cub Scout Pack. As a matter of fact, the whole family can join in on the fun!
