Soccer registration under way
The Macedonia Family Recreation Center offers a 6- to 14-year-old recreational soccer program. Players age 6 and 7 play in-house, while others play in the SRSL. The season starts in late March and ends in mid May. Shinguards are required. Volunteer coaches lead practices. Register at the Macedonia Family Recreation Center by March 1. Late registrations are subject to $10 late fee. The cost is $50 for Macedonia residents, $60 for non-residents.
Little Medical School offered
Little Medical School brings medicine, science, and the importance of health to children in an entertaining, exciting, and fun way. Children ages 5 to 10 will have fun as they dress up like doctors, learn how to use instruments doctors use, and understand how the body works. Through hands-on demonstrations, crafts, and games, kids learn how the body and organs work, how to use instruments that real doctors use, and even tie knots like a real surgeon. Students receive a lab coat and stethoscope. The registration deadline is Feb. 24 at the Macedonia Family Recreation Center or register online at www.littlemedicalschool.com/northeast-ohio/. The cost is $130, with a $5 processing fee added when registering online).The program is from 6 to 7 p.m. March 8 through April 19.
Youth Dodgeball begins
The Macedonia recreation department is offering Youth Dodgeball Wednesdays from March 8 to April 5 from 6 to 7 p.m. atLedgeview Elementary.Duck, dodge, and dive out of the way. Youth Dodgeball games for kids in third through fifth grade. Teams are selected each week and play several variations of dodgeball. Each participant will receive a Dodgeball t-shirt. The deadline to register is March 1. No coupons. No drop ins. The fee is $20 for Macedonia residents, $20 for non-residents.
