1OBSERVE NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER:

Faith Fellowship Church of Macedonia will host a National Day of Prayer service on May 4 at 7 p.m.

Created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress, and signed into law by President Harry Truman, the National Day of Prayer Task Force exists to mobilize the Judeo-Christian community to intercede for America's leaders and its families.

Prayer emphases for the evening will include government, military, business, education, family, and church.

Faith Fellowship Church invites those of all denominations to participate in the evening observance.

2SUPPORT VETERANS BY BUYING A POPPY:

American Legion Aux. Nordonia Hills Unit 801 will have its annual Poppy Drive for Veterans on May 6 and May 7.

On May 6, the Poppy Drive will be at Pepper's and Dolphin's from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on May 7 at Bob Evans and Dolphin's from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The poppy drive helps the Veteran's hospital and clinics, homeless homes for veterans and other veterans organizations. They will also be selling T-shirts for the Veterans Memorial Park. Stop by for a Poppy for a Veteran.

3 ENJOY A FAMILY BOWLING OUTING:

The Nordonia Hills Lions Club will host its fifth annual Family Fun Bowling Party fundraiser May 6 at North Woods Bowling Alley in Macedonia. Doors open at 4 p.m. with bowling from 4:30 to 7 p.m.

Cost is $15 per person which includes bowling, shoes, pizza and pop. There will be prizes, a Chinese raffle and a 50:50 raffle.

Tickets for spectators are available for $10 for the pizza party and raffles for those unable or unwilling to bowl.

Bowling party tickets and 50:50 raffle tickets can be purchased by calling Kelly Ross or Bob Hoste at 216-408-4392.

Ticket holders need not be present to win the 50:50 raffle. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5.
