FOUR things to do this week

1 GO RUN FOR THE HILLS!: Whether you're a weekend warrior, a would-be marathon master, a 5K connoisseur or a walking wonder, the YMCA has got you covered. Since 2008, this 5K and 1-mile Fun Walk has provided an opportunity for every member of the family to have a great time, stay healthy and support a great cause. All proceeds from the June 17 event support the YMCA Annual Campaign. The $25 on-line registration closes at 9 a.m. on June 16. Race Day is $30, cash only. 2 ENJOY A TOUR: The Hudson Home and Garden Tour is from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on June 15 and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 16. Tickets are available at the tent on the Hudson Green and at the Garden Shop at Hudson Middle School, 77 N. Oviatt St. for $25. Visitors are given a booklet listing each home and a map.

3 TAKE A HIKE WITH DAD: The Summit Metro Parks and city of Twinsburg offer the Liberty Park Nature Center and its various trails as a place to hike with Dad this Father's Day. As well, the Metro Parks will celebrate Father's Day with an officials Father's Day Hero Hike at Deep Lock Quarry in Peninsula, June 18 from 9:30 to 11 a.m., at 5779 Riverview Road in Peninsula. There will donuts and beverages as supplies last. For information, call 330-865-8065.

4 CHECK OUT THE COOKBOOK CLUB: An interactive group for discussing all things cooking, comparing recipes, and trying new eats. The club meets the third Tuesday of each month at the Nordonia Hills Branch Library.

The next meeting is June 20 at 7 p.m.
