If you have an event you would like to submit, send your name, a phone number and information about the event to newsleader@recordpub.com:

— GATHER AROUND THE CAMPFIRE: Spend a balmy evening June 21 at 7 p.m. at Liberty Park's Twinsburg Ledges Area (9999 Liberty Rd., Twinsburg), where participants can kick off the summer with a naturalist-led hike on the 1.1-mile Ledges Trail. After the hike, while supplies last, visitors can roast marshmallows around a campfire. To learn more, visit summitmetroparks.org or call 330-865-8065.

— TAKE A HISTORY LESSON: The Palmer House Museum will be open for visitors from 2 to 4 p.m. on June 25. Members of the Historical Society of Olde Northfield will be on hand to show off the museum's artifacts and offer insights into the area's past. The museum is in one of the area's first frame homes, located next to Northfield Elementary School at 9390 Olde Eight Road in Northfield Center.

— MAKE A DONATION: The Dolphin Restaurant in Northfield Village is a collection site for non-perishable good and toiletries for the Emergency Assistance Center and for new toys for the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots program through July 8. The restaurant is in Summit Plaza on Northfield Road. For more information, call the restaurant at 330-468-5050.

— EAT LUNCH/DINNER ON THE RAILROAD: The Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad is offering breakfast and lunch Saturdays and Sundays and an evening four-course dinner excursion every Friday. Purchase tickets in advance at cvsr.com on a first-come, first-served basis. Visit cvsr.com for tickets and information.
