'Mister Tim,' Synergy to highlight high school's annual Acappella Festival

The Nordonia School's Choral Department's third annual Acappella Festival will reature "Mister Tim" May 17 at Nordonia High School.

A prolific and award-winning singer, composer, actor, teacher, artistic director and conductor, Mister Tim has performed around the world in thousands of shows with dozens of performing groups.

He has performed on the stage of America's Got Talent, was a headline performer on the Las Vegas Strip, and has appeared in movies, on television, and in numerous viral internet hits.

As one of the leading innovators in modern a cappella music, Mister Tim has created more than a dozen award-winning groups that have toured around the world.

As a soloist, Mister Tim pushes the boundaries of vocal performance, using technology to 'live-loop' his voice on stage, creating songs in real time with just his voice and an array of vocal techniques and sound effects.

Nordonia's own acappella group, Synergy, will get the opportunity to work one-on-one with Mister Tim that day in master classes and will be the opening that night in concert.

This has been a banner year for Synergy, which has made it to the finals in the Columbus Acappella Competition.

The evening concert is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. in the Nordonia High School Auditorium.

Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens. Tickets may be ordered early or purchased at the door. All checks should be made payable to: "Nordonia Choral Parents," the parent booster organization.

For questions or to order tickets, contact John Pickering, Director of Choral Activities, at 330.908.6026 or at john.pickering@nordoniaschools.org
