Chagrin Arts' fifth and final program of its 2016 Performing Arts Series is a "battle of the sexes" cabaret created by the Musical Theater Project. The program, titled Anything You Can Do: The Big Battle of the Sexes, features a mash-up of musical theater songs that explain why the "battle" so lovingly rages on.
The program will begin at 3 p.m. on Sept. 18 at Solon Center for the Arts, at 6315 SOM Center Road in Solon.
Tickets may be purchased by phone at 440-247-9700 or online at ChagrinArts.org. Additionally, group discounts will be available for parties of 10 or more, call for details.
From Gershwin's "Let's Call the Whole Thing Off" (1937) to Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich's "Apathetic Man" (2012), the two sides are evenly matched for good-natured male bashing and female trashing in this perfect date night with a twist. The cabaret features Nancy Maier, Joe Monaghan, Kelly Monaghan and Bill Rudman of the Musical Theater Project.
"Chagrin Arts is excited to offer such an energetic and entertaining show in our inaugural presentation at the Solon Center for the Arts," said Karen Lazar, Executive Director of Chagrin Arts. "Bill Rudman and colleagues are the ideal ending to a great 2016 Performing Arts Series and we are excited that they will also be a part of our upcoming 10th season, in April of 2017."
