Northfield Center -- The township is seeking bids to repair an erosion problem that is threatening a portion of Schoepf Drive.
Trustees approved seeking bids for the project Feb. 4. Trustee Richard Reville said it is estimated to cost about $73,000. Township Administrator Sam Ciocco said that bids are scheduled to be opened March 4, in time for Trustees to possibly approve a bid at their meeting that night.
Trustee Paul Buescher said the work will be done several hundred feet north of Twinsburg Road where the residential road is threatened by the erosion of a steep embankment at the side of the road. The project, he said includes extending a culvert and building up the embankment around it.
"That's to stabilize the side of the hill because we're in danger of losing Schoepf," said Buescher.
