Macedonia -- An Akron woman charged last October with cocaine trafficking at a Highland Road hotel pleaded guilty Feb. 6 and was sentenced to 18-months probation.

According to Summit County Court of Common Pleas records, Ciarah S. Funk, 26, pleaded guilty to two fourth-degree felony counts of trafficking in cocaine.

In a plea agreement, according to the court, two additional trafficking in cocaine charges and a fifth-degree felony aggravated possession of drugs charge were dismissed.

A phone number for Funk could not be found. Her attorney did not return calls seeking comment by press time.

Macedonia police said Funk was arrested at the hotel Oct. 18 after they received a tip from a confidential informant and began an investigation in late September.

Police said that during the investigation, an undercover police officer bought cocaine from Funk at the hotel on three occasions.
