Macedonia — City Council unanimously approved seeking bids last night for a sidewalk along most of the west side of South Bedford Road. City Engineer Nick Fini said the estimated cost is about $80,000.
Council authorized seeking bids to repave most of the road Feb. 14, but delayed making a decision on the sidewalk. Fini estimated the road repaving will cost about $260,000, paid for out of the city’s capital improvements budget for this year.
Both the repaving and the sidewalk projects would extend from Highland Road in the south to about 600 feet south of Bedford Court.
