Macedonia -- A second public hearing has been scheduled for Sept. 22 at 6:45 p.m. on the rezoning of a two-acre property behind the Macedonia Marketplace at the intersection of Route 82 and Route 8 from a Business Office to a B-1 district.
Officials say there was an error with the notification of the first public hearing held June 6, so Mayor Joe Migliorini said out of an abundance of caution, the city will hold a second public hearing to make sure residents have ample opportunity to ask questions or express concerns.
The Osborne Capital Group, developer of Macedonia Marketplace, has submitted a plan that includes two new buildings and a parking area representatives say would alleviate some of the congestion from the current traffic at the Marketplace where First Watch, MattressFirm, Vitamin Shoppe, Antonio's Pizza, an AT&T store and Sherwin Williams are located. The buildings could be occupied by a dental office, a hair salon, and fast casual restaurants, according to Lance Osborne, President of the Osborne Capital Group. A sketch submitted to the city, the building off Fairlane Drive would have a coffee shop and drive-through.
