A 44-year-old North Canton man driving a street sweeper told police he believes he suffered a seizure around 10:15 p.m. Monday night, causing him to lose control of his vehicle, roll over and strike a fire hydrant and telephone poll near the Ledge Road intersection on Route 8. Police Chief Mark Wentz said the man had been driving northbound on Route 8 into the village and told police he did not remember what happened. Wentz said no charges have been filed and the incident remains under investigation. He said the man had been transported to Hillcrest Hospital for evaluation, but did not have further information on his condition.
