Cuyahoga Falls Police and Summit County officials are investigating a motorcycle crash on southbound Route 8 south of Graham Road that claimed the life of a 19-year-old man Tuesday afternoon.

At 10 a.m. Wednesday, Gary Guenther, chief investigator for the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office, said his office had not yet released the man’s identity.

Falls Police and Fire officials responded to the crash at 4:16 p.m. Tuesday, where, according to a police department press release, the man “lost control of his motorcycle striking the median and a light pole where he was ejected into the northbound side of [Route 8] next to the median.”

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the press release.

The crash remains under investigation by the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office, The Summit County Metro Crash Team and Falls Police.
