Nordonia Hills Chamber of Commerce Executive Director

The high school art show is an annual event put on by the art department teachers and students. Our talented students display a wide range of artwork from art explorations, drawing and cartooning, painting and collage, ceramics and sculpture, mixed media, as well as photography.

The show will open March 14 at 7 p.m. with an invitation to students, families and staff to view the work. Art teachers will be in attendance, refreshments will be served and the show opening will last through 9 p.m.

The art show will be open to the entire community on March 15 during the Nordonia Hills Chamber of Commerce Community Expo. The entrance is in the front of the building.

Senior students planning to pursue an education in the visual arts field will exhibit a showcase, built around an artist's statement and including their best work. Art teachers will meet and critique showcases to determine the winner of a cash award for art supplies.

The remaining show will no longer be judged, but displayed for the enjoyment of its viewers.

Nordonia High School art teachers Rich Mayer, Lisa Dressig, Tim Naujoks and Stacy Stewart, have encouraged their students to problem solve, take a creative/inventive approach and create quality work.
