The Summit Point Life Fulfilling Community, a $22 million rental independent living and assisted living residence under construction in Macedonia next to city hall, is offering an open house featuring the first public showing of a model apartment.

The free event will be May 4 from 1 to 4 p.m. Guests are asked to RSVP to 330-468-4200.

Summit Point's Healthy Longevity plan, offered through an alliance with the Cleveland Clinic System, will help residents maximize their health and independence, according to Kathleen Crawford, Vice President for Professional Services for the Cleveland Clinic's South Pointe Hospital.

Phase I of Summit Pointe, The Gardens Independent Living Residence and Symphony House Assisted Living Residence, is targeted for completion this summer.

Once completed, Summit Point will offer a total of 185 apartment homes consisting of 115 independent living apartments and 70 assisted living apartments, including a secure memory care wing. The initial development phase calls for 150 of these units.

Summit Point will feature state-of-the-art amenities such as underground parking, a pub, theater, library, fitness center, billiards area, beauty/barber salon, activity rooms, and elegant dining areas.
