A graveside service is scheduled for May 30 at 11 a.m. for Northfield Village resident Edward J. Miklus.
Family and friends will meet at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman. Mr. Miklus, 77, died May 18, 2008, at the Brecksville Veteran's Hospital.
Mr. Miklus served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1950 to 1956, working with tanks and artillery. After the war, he worked as a machine operator.
Mr. Miklus loved to dance at area venues, where he had friends who played in orchestras.
Mr. Miklus was the father of Michelle (Paul) Gingrich of Canton, and grandfather of Jack Richard Gingrich and Rhiannon Kay Gingrich. He was the brother of Lillian Shinkaruk, Joe, Ray and Albert Miklus and Helen Divencenzo, deceased.
The family suggest memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements were handled by Johnson-Romito Funeral Home.
