David Claren

------ DAVID W. CLAREN ------

Owned Sagamore Construction

David W. Claren, of Sagamore Hills, died at his home on May 31, 2008 following a battle with Multiple Myeloma.

Mr. Claren, 51, was born Feb. 12, 1957 in Cleveland to Frank and Helen Claren, both deceased, and grew up in Broadview Heights.

He was the husband of Lori, nee Bloomhuff, and the father of Sarah, Ryan, Eric, and Jeffrey. He was the brother of Paul, Carol, Dori Nelson (Lewis), Alan (Cindy), and Carl (Tracy).

He was the uncle of Kyle, Evan, Toni, Megan, Russell, Grant and Paige.

Mr. Claren had a passion for dirt bikes, tinkering with mechanics and love of the outdoors. This eventually led him to start his own excavation company, Sagamore Construction, in 1992.

During his illness, hundreds of community members came together to support Mr. Claren and his family and he drafted the following letter to thank everyone.

Words can not begin to express my gratefulness to the
generosity of our friends and members of our community. From fundraising, to the day-to-day needs of our children. People I had never met all helped. This is the most amazing gift I have ever received. I wish my life wasn't cut short, so I could repay my debt to our community and friends.

Thank you and love to all, Dave.

Cremation took place at Great Lakes Crematory.

Ferfolia Funeral Home handled arrangements.
