by Jeff Saunders Reporter Macedonia -- A man accused of stabbing a female relative May 11 at a home they share was indicted by a Summit County grand jury on multiple charges, including kidnapping and felonious assault. According to records filed June 17 in the Summit County Court of Common Pleas, Vincent G. Swaby, 34, was indicted on two counts of kidnapping, a first-degree felony, and one count each of second-degree felony assault, and fourth-degree felony domestic violence and disrupting public services. He is also charged with one count each of first-degree misdemeanor endangering children and second-degree misdemeanor criminal damaging or endangering. Swaby was released from Summit County Jail on a $25,000 bond June 3. A phone number for him could not be found. His attorney, Jaye Schlachet, declined to comment. According to court records, Swaby is being tracked with a satellite monitoring device at a Cleveland Heights address. He has been ordered to have no contact with the woman. According to police, the woman reported that while she and Swaby were arguing the early morning of May 11, Swaby allegedly stabbed her in the arm with a pair of scissors, slapped her face and caused additional cuts to her arm and leg. The woman told police she escaped with the woman's 18-month-old son by driving her car through a garage door he had locked. The woman later called police and was treated at the scene for her injuries by the Macedonia Fire Department. Police went to the home and arrested Swaby that day.
