Liberty Valley hosting special program

Liberty Valley Church will be hosting "Mom to Mom," a six-week, practical help guide to biblical parenting based on the book "Shepherding a Child's Heart," by Tedd Tripp.

Bible Believers announce annual picnic

Bible Believer's Baptist Church will have its annual picnic July 26 at Sagamore Hills Township Park. The picnic is from 2 to 8 p.m. at Pavilion B. A potluck dinner and dessert will be served at 5 p.m. All are welcome to attend. The congregation would love to get a chance to meet some new families. The church's weekly Wednesday night Bible Study and Prayer Meeting begins at 7 p.m. Nursery is available for children newborn up to age 2.

Anti-addiction program
is under way

Reformers Unanimous, a national Christ-centered addiction program headquartered in Rockford, Ill, has started a chapter in Northfield.

The program meets every Friday night at the New Testament Baptist Church from 7 to 9 p.m. The program is open to all adults who struggle with an addiction or a "stubborn habit." Call the church at 330-467-6757 for more information.

Marriage encounter weekend planned

A summer break for married couples is planned for July 11 to 13 at the Quality Inn in Akron by Worldwide Marriage Encounter.

This weekend experience is for couples with good marriages, who would like to learn an exciting and effective method of communication. The weekend starts on Friday evening and ends on Sunday at 4 p.m. It consists of a series of presentations.

Golf outing to support
El Salvador mission

The Cleveland Latin American Missions is hosting a charity golf outing Aug. 8 at Gleneagles Golf Course in Twinsburg.

Proceeds from the event are personally taken to El Salvador and given to those with the greatest need. This year, besides the educational support the people will receive, proceeds will be used to buy medical equipment and re-paint the clinic in Teotepeque, El Salvador, where the Rev. Mark Riley serves.

Musicians needed

The Contemporary Ministry of the United Methodist Church of Macedonia is a living, growing assembly of modern and emerging worship. Musicians are needed, especially guitarists, keyboard players, percussionists, or those who loves to sing. Join in any Tuesday at 7 p.m. or Saturday at 4 p.m. Coffee, punch, and goodies are normally served every Saturday evening at 5:30 p.m. so come early and come alive.

Mothers invited
to pray for schools

Moms-In-Touch International is an organization consisting of groups of women who pray for their local schools. The Nordonia Hills area has had a group actively praying for the school district for the past 10 years.

The group meets once a week for an hour of prayer, hoping to encourage the school board, schools, students, teachers and administrators by keeping the Nordonia Hills schools' needs and concerns before God.

Interested women who share in the desire to intercede for the schools are invited to join.

The group meets Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m. at the Western Reserve Grace Brethren Church, 1066 East Aurora Road in Macedonia. For more information, call Linda Gray at 330-468-1079.

Baptists open doors
for Bible study

The Northfield Baptist Church, located at Route 82 and Boyden Road, would like to invite the public to meet every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon for a Bible study to read, study, discuss scripture and pray.

Transportation is available for those that need a ride.

Faith Fellowship building
'Wall of Heroes'

Faith Fellowship Church is looking for photos of men and women in the congregation and surrounding communities who are active in the military, police, fire and medical departments, and other such services for a
"Wall of Heroes" to help concentrate prayer efforts on those who protect the community.
