Summit County Engineer Greg Bachman invites residents to join him as he inspects county roads this summer by bicycle. Bachman is scheduled to ride the county roads, township by township, Saturday mornings beginning at 8 a.m. The Sagamore Hills/Northfield Center townships "Bike with Bachman" will begin at Northfield Center Township Hall, 9546 Brandywine Road, Aug. 16. Further details, a route map and a route mileage breakdown can be found at the Summit County Engineer's Web site: http://engineer.co.s... Participants are invited to bike as much or little as they want, or to just drop by the starting point to say hello. Rides will last about two hours. Residents are invited to take part in an opportunity to discuss issues and share ideas with Bachman, while exercising and enjoying a close-up view of Summit County's scenic beauty. Bachman plans to ride at a fast, recreational pace of 15 to 18 mph. No sign-up is needed and there is no cost involved, but bicycle helmets are required. Comments
