The Nordonia Hills City School District will observe Make a Difference Day on Oct. 25.

One of the service projects that will be supported by the sale of Entertainment 2010 coupon books will be the collection of personal care items, snacks, games, books, and puzzles for care packages that will be shipped to military persons serving overseas.

Entertainment 2010 coupon books are available in the main office at Nordonia High School, 8006 South Bedford Road in Macedonia. Cleveland and Akron books are available for cost of $30 each.

Make checks payable to Nordonia High School -- MADDO. Care package items may be dropped off in the high school lobby. Call 330-908-6036 for more information.

Auto students need
four-wheel fixer-uppers

Cuyahoga Valley Career Center auto repair students need donated vehicles to practice their auto repair skills on and help enhance their learning.

Once used, the vehicles will be disposed of, said auto body repair instructor Ron Barnosky.

When a vehicle is donated, the donor is advised to use the Kelley Blue Book value of the vehicle if the donation will be used as a tax write-off. Those interested in donating vehicle(s) to CVCC's auto repair programs can contact Assistant Principal Al Marcinek at 440-746-8296. CVCC is located at 8001 Brecksville Road in Brecksville.
