Area veterans invited to salute at high school

The students, faculty, and staff of Nordonia High School will honor past and present military personnel for their service to the United States Nov. 11 from 8 to 8:30 a.m. in the high school gymnasium.

All military veterans and active duty armed services members in the Nordonia Hills Community are invited to participate.

Participants are asked to assemble in the small gymnasium at the rear of the building by 7:45 a.m. A reception will take place following the ceremony.

The scheduled speakers are Robert Rardin, a teacher at Nordonia High School and a former Marine, and David Pristash, president of Americian Legion Post 801.

The Nordonia Lancer Band and Nordonia High School Choir will perform and there will be a Cadet Honor Guard from Kent State University's Air Force ROTC Detachment 630.

The entire student body and faculty will be attending. Interested community members are also welcome.
