The Summit County Board of Elections had to get permission from the Secretary of State’s office around 5 p.m. to photocopy 19,000 more ballots after several locations were running low. Poll workers were told to call the Board on cell phones when ballots reached 25 percent. The areas of critical need, according to the Secretary of State’s office, were Twinsburg, where there is a .25 percent tax increase on the ballot; Tallmadge, where there is a school issue, and Green. Polls closed at 7:30, and anyone who was in line at the time was permitted to vote.
