The mission of the Nordonia Hills Chamber of Commerce is to promote its members, which it did at its annual Business to Business Expo at Gambitta's Party Center in Northfield Center Oct. 15, said Executive Director Laura Sparano.

With attendance estimated at about 250, she said, it is a smaller, more intimate event when compared to the Chamber's Community and Business Expo in the spring. The exhibitors had the chance to engage the attendees and talk about the services and products they offer.

The expo is the culmination of weeks of promotion for the exhibitors. In September the Expo Meet and Greet allowed businesses to connect with others who had reserved booth space. About 400 e-mails were sent weekly for the past 6 week, listing the exhibitors with links to their Web sites. Exhibitors were also listed each week in Chamber Chatter in the News Leader.

An e-mail blast went out earlier this week to more than 750 businesses. Many people clicked through to the Chamber's exhibitors Web site.

A special section in the News Leader also brought attention to member businesses.

The 3,000 invitations that were mailed to Northeast Ohio businesses drew interest to the Chamber and the major sponsors. Sparano said her goal is always to keep dollars here and strengthen the local economy and the B2B Expo really does a good job of promoting what the Chamber has to offer.
