Sign-A-Rama collecting items for Habitat for Humanity

Sign-A-Rama, of Macedonia is hosting a holiday benefit for the Summit Chapter of Habitat for Humanity through Jan. 9, 2010.

The public is invited to bring in donations for household cleaning items to be placed in welcome kits for Habitat clients. In return, Sign-A-Rama will give a $2 coupon for each item donated, redeemable for any in-house product at the store in Macedonia.

Sign-A-Rama will also donate a house address sign to each Summit County family that received a new home through Habitat for Humanity in 2009.

Sign-A-Rama owner Joe Berdine said he plans to make the collection an annual event.

Edward Jones office
accepting Toys for Tots

James Moore, the local Edward Jones financial advisor, is supporting the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program.

Local residents may help needy children in the area by bringing in a new, unwrapped toy to the office during regular business hours.

The office is at 516 West Aurora Road in Sagamore Hills in the Sagamore Square Plaza.
