Kristen Palatas and Scott Finley were united in marriage Sept. 12, 2009 at the Signature of Solon Country Club. The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Dave Enzman.
The bride is the daughter of Joe and Cheryl Palatas of Boston Heights. The bridegroom is the son of Patrick and Sally Finley, deceased, of Boston Heights.
The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father and wore a strapless gown embroidered with crystals and pearls. She carried a bouquet of orchids and roses adorned with pearls.
The matron of honor was the brides' sister, Amanda Hoffman, who was accompanied by the best man, Steven Soblosky, friend of the bridegroom.
Bridesmaids were Brittany Allanson, Michelle Wesley, Carrie Johnston, Heather Pfeifer, Jessica Thies, Katie Kindrick, and Brittany Yannitelli. The junior bridesmaid was Taylor Blane.
Groomsmen were Joe Palatas, Ian Faietta, Joe Varga, Ryan Hoffman, Tim Theis, Jake Kindrick, and Danny Darke. The ring bearer was Jake Blane.
Cindy Miller, "aunt" of the bride read scripture at the ceremony.
The reception took place following the ceremony at Signature of Solon, where guests danced to the music of Sumrada.
The bride is a 2003 graduate of Nordonia High School and a 2008 graduate of The University of Akron. She is employed by Nordonia Hills City School District.
The bridegroom is a 1995 graduate of Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy. He is employed by the Village of Boston Heights and Valley Fire Department.
The couple lives in Boston Heights.
