JANICE M. CHOJNACKI Active with Hudson Girls Softball

Janice M. Chojnacki, 59, of Macedonia, a former resident of Hudson since 1978, died Dec. 25, 2009, at her home.

She was born on Dec. 4, 1950, in Bedford, the daughter of Henry and Mary Waugh.

She had worked as operations manager for Ecology Roof Systems in Northfield. She was a 1971 graduate of Bowling Green State University and was very active in the Hudson Girls Softball Association. She belonged to the First Congregational Church of Hudson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mary Waugh; sister, Barbara Altiere; and brother-in-law, James Altiere.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel M. Chojnacki; four daughters, Megan (Chad) Berry of Indianapolis, Sara Chojnacki of Manhattan Beach, Calif., Lauren Chojnacki of Redondo Beach, Calif., and Erin Chojnacki of Chicago; sisters, Judith (Charles) Gniewkowski of Toledo and Linda (Joseph) Bowen of Northfield; and grandchild, Madison Berry.

Arrangements are being handled by Johnso-Romito Funeral Home. A funeral service was at First Congregational Church of Hudson Dec. 29.
