Services were Jan. 11 for John A. Connell. Mr. Connell, 63, of Sagamore Hills, died Jan. 6, 2010.
Mr. Connell was born to Patrick and Kathleen Connell on Sept. 17, 1946, in County Cavan, Ireland. He was a professor at The University of Akron and Lakeland Community College.
Mr. Connell was the husband of Marlene Connell; the father of Rosangela Elliott (Robert); the grandfather of three; the brother of Mary McConnell, Breege McConnell, Ann Marrion Coleman (Declan), and Patsy McConnell; and the uncle of Ciera, Conaill and Rury Coleman.
Burial was at All Saints Cemetery. Ferfolia Funeral Home handled arrangements.
The family suggests contributions be made to Holy Family Hospice, 6707 State Road, Parma 44134 or St. Barnabas Catholic Church, 9451 Brandywine Road, Northfield Center 44067.
