Teen Café on Feb. 4

For students in grades five and up on the first Thursday of each month. Please sign up. Next session is Feb. 4 at 3:30 p.m. Looking for the perfect Valentine's Day gift? Make them a Love Bug Pin or keep it for yourself.

The Friends of Nordonia Hills Branch Library will hold their winter book sale Feb. 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. A $3 bag sale begins at 2 p.m.

The library is now accepting donations of gently used hardback and paperback books, video and audio recordings. No magazines, Reader's Digest Condensed Books, textbooks, or encyclopedias are accepted.

The preview sale for Friends members is Feb. 5 from 1 to 6 p.m. Memberships starting at $5 may be purchased at the door. You must be a member to attend. Please note: Entry numbers will be handed out beginning at noon.

Discuss light fiction

Do you like to talk about the books you read and enjoy? Then join us the second Monday of each month at 2 p.m. for reader-to-reader book discussions, fun, and sharing with fellow light fiction lovers. In January we'll be reading "Agnes and the Hitman" by Jennifer Crusie. Please join us Feb. 8 at 2 p.m.

Stitch Clique to meet

Grab your crocheting/knitting needles and yarn and stitch the evening away. Join us the second Tuesday of each month for crocheting/knitting tips, friendship, advice and more.

Refreshments will be served Feb. 9 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

After School Club
to meet

For children in kindergarten through second grade. V is for Valentine's Day. Come and celebrate with us Feb. 10 at 4:30 p.m.

discuss books

Our afternoon book discussion group is open to all adult readers, and meets the second Thursday of each month.

Our next discussion is Feb. 11 at 2 p.m. We will discuss "Team of Rivals" by Doris Kearns Goodwin.

Our evening book discussion group is an informal, eclectic group of adult readers, usually meeting the fourth Wednesday of each month.

Our next discussion is Feb. 24 at 7 p.m. We will discuss "The Devil Wears Prada" by Lauren Weisberger.

Hear a story

Please sign up now for one story time per child.

* Baby Time: For children 6 to 24 months with a parent or caregiver. This program features bounces, songs, and short stories on Tuesdays at 2 p.m. from Feb. 16 to March 30. Please note there is no baby time on March 9.

* Bedtime Story Time: For children 2 to 5 years old, not yet in kindergarten, on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. from Feb. 17 to March 31. Two-year-olds must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver. Please note there is no story time on Wednesday, March 10.

* Toddler Story Time: For children 2 years old accompanied by a parent or caregiver on Thursdays at 10:15 a.m. from Feb. 18 to April 1.

* Preschool Story Time: For children 3 to 5 years old, not yet in kindergarten, on Thursdays at 11 a.m. from Feb. 18 to April 1.

Talk about a mystery

The Mystery Book Lovers discussion group is an informal group of adult mystery readers, meeting the third Wednesday of each month. Our next discussion is the Dupin tales by Edgar Allan Poe, on Feb. 17 at 7 p.m.
