------ ORVIN CARL ROGERS ------ World War II veteran Services were Feb. 3 at Pleasant Hills United Methodist Church for Sagamore Hills resident Orvin Carl Rogers. Mr. Rogers, 86, died Jan. 29, 2010, at Elmcroft of Sagamore Hills. Mr. Rogers was born July 20, 1923, in Nashville, Minn., to Lewis and Nellie Rogers, both deceased. Mr. Rogers was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and worked as a computer programer in the IT industry. Mr. Rogers was the husband of Ruth Marie, nee Risch. He was the father of Larry (Sharon) Rogers and Leeann (Mark) Gray. He was the brother of Mavis, Marie, Marlene, Valla Vee, Bob, Bill and Marily, deceased. He had three grandchildern. Burial was at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Permanent Improvement Fund at Pleasant Hills United Methodist Church. Ferfolia Funeral Home handled arrangements. Comments
