The Walton Hills Cooperative Preschool will begin open enrollment for the 2010-11 school year on Feb. 18 with an open house at the school from 6 to 8 p.m.
The preschool is located at the Walton Hills Church of Christ, 7166 Dunham Road.
The preschool is oriented toward creative, supervised play, parent participation and hands-on activities directed by qualified, licensed teachers. Parent participation is the key to the school's success.
Parents are required to attend meetings, assist the teachers on a scheduled, rotating basis, participate in fundraisers and hold a board or committee position.
Enrollment is open to children ages 3 to 5 who live in Walton Hills and the surrounding communities. Students must be 3 by Sept. 30 and potty trained. Classes meet Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from September through May.
The morning session is from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and the afternoon session is from noon to 2:30 p.m. All ages may attend a.m. or p.m. classes.
