Our Lady of Guadalupe hosts lenten dinners

Our Lady of Guadalupe Church will be serving dinners on Fridays during Lent until March 26 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the church's addition. Dinner is not served on Good Friday.

Dinner selections range from $6 to $9.50 and include: Fried shrimp; fried or baked fish; fish and shrimp combo; grilled salmon; potato and cheese pierogies; and a weekly special.

Seafood dinners include fries, coleslaw and a roll with butter. New this year is a fried beer battered cod. Child-sized portions of dinner items are $4 to $5 and there is also a kid-friendly pizza meal with fries, applesauce and two cookies. Diners at the church have a choice of punch or tea/coffee included with their meal.

Each week also features a homemade dinner special and soup selection. Lighter -- and heartier -- appetites will enjoy an expanded menu of side order selections with baked sweet potatoes joining the popular hand-battered onion rings and garden salad. Carryout meals are available by calling 330-468-2194, ext. 38, from 5:15 to 7:15 p.m., with pickup between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m.

The Feb. 26 meal will include broccolini with alfredo sauce, cream of potato soup.

Our Lady of Guadalupe Church is located at 9080 Shepard Road in Macedonia. For further information, call 330-468-2194.
