Jan Becker, owner of Becker's Cottage Herb Farm, will speak at the Nordonia Hills Garden Club meeting at the Northfield Center Town Hall March 17 at 6:30 p.m. Becker is a master gardener who grows organic herbs, conducts culinary classes and is also a bee keeper. She will discuss types of herbs to grow, cooking with those herbs, companion plantings and how to select plants properly. The talk will include a slide show and a question and answer session and should interest both gardeners and cooks. This program, which is open to the public, is the second in a series of three programs planned to help get gardens in shape for another summer. A raffle and refreshments will follow the program. Visit nordoniahillsgardenclub.com for further information. Plan ahead now for the April 21 meeting, which will be the final in the spring program series, a panel discussion on spring gardening activities. Comments
