Bishop Mark Hollingsworth is coming to St. Timothy's Episcopal Church March 14. He will preside over the 10:30 a.m. Mass, perform confirmations, deliver his message, and share a meal with the congregation afterwards. The church is at the corner of Shepard Road and Route 82 in Macedonia. All are welcome. Hollingsworth's message to the Ohio Diocese is to grow, give, and serve. As part of its mission to serve, the Episcopal Church has responded to the dire crises in Haiti and Chile. Episcopal Relief and Development also has ongoing programs to bring clean water, sanitation, solar energy systems, livestock, and micro loans to impoverished communities around the world. In established churches, the bishop asks congregates to consider green solutions in their expansion plans. He asks them to grow in faith and resources, to give of themselves, and to serve the community of the world. As a sports enthusiast, Hollingsworth participated in a bicycle trip across the United States from California to New York in order to raise funds for Episcopal Relief and Development. People wishing to support these efforts may send checks to Episcopal Relief and Development, P.O. Box 7058, Merrifield, Va. 22116-7058. ERD funds programs that help locally and worldwide. Comments
