As a part of its Sanctuary Festival Series, the United Methodist Church of Macedonia will present an unusual concert -- professional musician Courtney E. Lambert playing the classical marimba -- on March 14 at 3 p.m.
The marimba originated in South Africa and looks like an overgrown xylophone, with five octaves of wooden keys and resonator tubes. It is about the size of a baby grand piano.
The entire community is welcome.
The concert will last about an hour, and there are free refreshments in the Holbrook Room and an opportunity to talk with the artist after the show. Call 330-467-3169 for more information.
