Hey you! It's time to get off that couch.

There's nothing more invigorating than a short run through the park on a clear Saturday morning. And don't forget your bike. If you enjoy pumping iron, we also have an event for you.

It's time to register for the 2010 Nordonia Hills Duathlon & Pump-n-Run June 5.

Chamber President Eric Daniel, of Thompson Hine LLP, and his committee have been working on this event for months already.

The race includes a 2.5 mile run, followed by a 10 mile bike ride, then finishing with a second 2.5 mile run. If you're more a "pumper" than a "runner", your pumps will take time off your run. For more information on the Pump-n-Run, call Mark Nolan at 216-789-4781.

The first 300 entrants will receive a T-shirt; all entrants will share after-race refreshments, including chicken sandwiches from Chick-fil-A.

Packet pick-up and registration begins the Thursday before (June 3) at Fleet Feet in Northfield Center.

If you enter the Pump-n-Run, you can do your "pumps" on Friday night at Anytime Fitness.

We, as a community of businesses, host this event. Many of us already show our support by volunteering and sponsoring this Duathlon. Let's go the next step and participate.

For more information, contact Eric at 330-612-3234. To volunteer to help at this event or to donate a raffle prize, call the Chamber office at 330-467-8956. You can also register online at www.hermescleveland.com or www.nordoniahillschamber.org.

This community event is sponsored by the following businesses: South Pointe Hospital -- Cleveland Clinic Health System, Children's House, Anytime Fitness, ABC Rental Center East, Church of the Hills, The Collis Group, Fleet Feet Sports, Faith Fellowship Church, Hudson Printing and Record Publishing Co.

Sponsorships are still available at the $150 level. Your logo will be on more than 300 T-shirts worn by the athletes and volunteers. This is a great way to get your "brand" out to our community and Northeast Ohio.

Thank you again to the businesses who helped make our Annual Awards Luncheon outstanding again this year. A special thank you is sent to Chamber President-Elect Jennifer Mintz, South Pointe Hospital, for chairing this special meeting. Once more we'd like to show our gratitude to UH Bedford Medical Center for sponsoring this annual event. It's an honor to see Sean H. McKibben, President of UH Bedford Medical Center, share his pride in his facility.

Joe Gambitta always makes a wonderful prime rib at Gambitta's Party Center. Flowers by Cynde donated a flower basket for our sponsor and eight lovely raffle prizes.

Thank you to Nick Ciofani from U.S. Rep. Steve LaTourette's office for providing proclamations for our award winners and for installing the 2010-11 Chamber Board of Directors.

PS Awards did a beautiful job on the plaques and awards, as usual.

Thank you to Jeff Saunders of the News Leader for writing beautiful articles on our winners.

Most of all, thank you to all who attended to show your appreciation of the time and energy our members invest in our community and our Chamber of Commerce.
