Thousands of residents, families and friends lined Olde Eight Road in Northfield Center to watch the annual Memorial Day Parade May 31. Organized by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Northfield Post 6768, the parade was followed by a ceremony honoring members of the military who lost their lives serving the nation.
So many people participated in this year's parade, that the parade was still passing the end point at the intersection of Valley View Road when the memorial ceremony commenced a little after 11 a.m. at the veteran's memorial at the Northfield-Macedonia Cemetery.
