Faith Fellowship hosting patriotic musical

Faith Fellowship Church is hosting "Homeland," a patriotic musical June 27 at 9 and 11 a.m. at the church, 10277 Valley View Road in Macedonia.

The entire community is invited to attend and the wearing of uniforms by veterans, servicemembers and safety forces is encouraged.

Macedonia Methodists to recall wedding receptions

Remember those wonderful church basement wedding receptions of the 1950s and 1960s.

The United Methodist Women of the United Methodist Church of Macedonia will recapture those magic moments for June 30 at 6 p.m. in the Holbrook Room of the church. On display, there will be photo albums, and pictures of wedding gowns, past and present, including some people members of the community might know, or receptions members might have attended in the distant or recent past.

The main event will be a fashion procession of gowns, including narration, reaching back as far as the early 1900s, and there will be music.

Refreshments will include all sorts of finger sandwiches and cupcakes. Everyone is welcome and there is no charge. However, reservations are requested by June 28 by calling Rosanne Smith at 330-468-3273.

Sanctuary of Praise hosts marriage seminar

On June 23 at 7:30 p.m. the Sanctuary of Praise, at 8788 Hadden Road, will host a marriage enrichment seminar that is free and open to the public.

* June 25 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., will be Joseph's Kitchen Free Community Meal;

* June 26 from noon to 1 p.m. will be Joseph's Kitchen free food distribution; and

* Coming from July 22 through 24 will be the annual "Miracle Crusade." Healing and deliverance begins at 7:30 p.m. each night. The Sanctuary welcomes back to the community an anointed man of God, national Evangelist Dr. George L. White Sr.

Hope Church adds 'Sports Plus'

Summer will be here soon, as will Hope Community Church's annual "Sports Plus" program. This program is open to any boy or girl in the community age 4 to 12 for soccer, age 7 to 12 for basketball and all ages for cheerleading.

The games and sessions will be Wednesday evenings through July 21 from 7 to 8:15 p.m. Cost is $25 per child, or a family maximum of $55.

Cost includes a T-shirt and every child will receive a trophy at the awards ceremony. Call the church at 330-655-5170.
