by Jeff Saunders Reporter Macedonia -- The case of a Bridgewater Court man police said sold drugs to undercover officers is going to a Summit County grand jury. According to Stow Municipal Court records, 19-year-old Michael J. Walsh is charged with one count each of third- and fourth-degree felony aggravated drug trafficking. Municipal Court Judge Lisa L. Coates ordered the case sent to a grand jury after Walsh did not enter a plea at a July 12 pretrial hearing, according to her bailiff, Traci Cirullo. Walsh was being held in Summit County Jail on a 10 percent of $50,000 bond as of July 12. Walsh's attorney, George Keith, declined to comment. Macedonia Police Lt. Vince Yakopovich said the drug trafficking charges were the result of an undercover police investigation during which police allegedly purchased marijuana, cocaine and Ecstasy from Walsh. "We were able to purchase drugs on four separate occasions," alleged Yakopovich, who declined further comment. Walsh was charged July 7 and Yakopovich said a warrant was served on Walsh at the county jail, where he was being held on an unrelated misdemeanor criminal damaging charge filed.
