Chamber Chatter: Business community invited to Chamber 101 Thursday

If you are an existing Chamber member, new member or prospective member, please plan to attend Chamber 101 on July 22 from 8 to 10 a.m. at Reinecker's Bakery & Party Center, 8575 Freeway in Macedonia. (registration begins at 7:45).

All are invited to this informational event, sponsored this year by UH -- Bedford Medical Center. Develop relationships with area business people (who could become clients or customers), gather referrals, discover new benefits and savings offered by the Chamber and you just might go back to the office with a gift. If you're not already a member, this is your chance to join our Chamber and receive a discount on your new membership.

There are many reasons to golf in the 2010 NHCOC Chamber Links Outing. You can either pick one of these when you tell your boss/wife/husband/co-workers that you'll be out of the office Aug. 16, or you can make up your own. Our reasons to golf are all bona fide business reasons -- yours may not be.

* Competition -- You know you like to win, but this might be the time to lay back and let your client take the glory.

* Publicity -- The outing is a great excuse to promote your business. Are you concerned about the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District's stormwater utility fees being proposed? Plan to attend the public forum hosted by the Nordonia Hills Chamber Aug. 24 from 8 to 10 a.m. at Gambitta's Party Center in Northfield Center.
