Sagamore Hills native Nicole Stout has no trouble finding her way to the All-American Soap Box Derby the last three years.

It's finding her way to the winner's circle at Derby Downs which has proved elusive.

For the third straight year, Stout made her way to the Derby but lost in her first round race July 24 at Derby Downs in Akron.

Stout qualified in the rally masters division at the Derby and ran her opening race against Timdrick Stewart of Indianapolis and Drew White.

Stewart ended up winning the heat in a time of 29.30 seconds

Michael Morawski of Guilderland, N.Y. won the rally masters division in a time of 29.24 seconds.
