Good Shepard to tour 'High Seas' Good Shepard Christian Church invites Children to a summer kids' event called High Seas Expedition Aug. 2 to 6 at the church, 9571 Shepard Road in Macedonia. Advance registration is required. Participants will go on a vast voyage through God's word as they participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing, play teamwork-building games, dig into treats, experience Bible adventures, collect Bible memory buddies to remind them of God's word and create Bible Point crafts they'll take home and play with all summer long. Each day concludes with a "Floating Finale," a celebration that gets everyone involved in living what they've learned. This program is for children age 3 and potty trained through sixth grade and will run from 6 to 8:45 p.m. each day. There is a $10 registration fee $25 maximum). Faith Fellowship hosting vacation Bible school Faith Fellowship Church, 10277 Valley View Road in Macedonia, is hosting High Seas Expedition Vacation Bible school Aug. 2 through 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. Kindergartners through sixth-graders can enjoy a fully cooked dinner, creative crafts, games and interactive Bible and life lessons. On Aug. 6 at 7 p.m. and on Aug. 8 at 10 a.m. in the Main Sanctuary, The Victory Strength Team will showcase their feats of strength. The entire community is welcome to attend. Pre-registration for vacation Bible school can be done by calling the church office at 330-467-1234. Bible school set to begin at Rejoice Spend a while on the Nile and join for a visit to "ancient Egypt" and Joseph's journey from prison to palace. Rejoice Lutheran Church's vacation Bible school program is open to all children pre-school through fifth grade. It meets Aug. 2 through 6 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Cost is $5 per child. Church in the Valley Church in the Valley, 2241 Everett Road, Peninsula, will have a fundraiser garage sale and bake sale Aug. 14 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Robert (Robie) Black family are members of Church in the Valley. Robie has been fighting a long battle against cancer. Doughnuts and coffee will be available, with hot dogs, chips and soda at noon.
