------ HARRIET R. FAWCETT ------ Was a painter Services were July 27 for Harriet R. Fawcett, nee Wylie. Mrs. Fawcett, 93, of Sagamore Hills, died July 23, 2010, from complications of a stroke at Brentwood Health Care Center. Mrs. Fawcett was born to Clyde and Hattie Wylie on Jan. 9, 1917, in Idaho. She moved to Cleveland at 18 to study art at what is now Case Western Reserve University. She made and studied art throughout her 58-year marriage, all the while, with her husband Millard, founding and building the Fawcett Co., maker of precision mixing equipment. Widowed in 1999, she kept blooming, painting passionately, traveling with her children and their partners. At 90, she joined them for her first trip to Paris. She taught her family that a dazzling last chapter is possible. Severely disabled by a stroke in 2007, she fought back, inspiring those around her. Her loved ones will never forget her beauty, dignity, creativity, and love of life. Mrs. Fawcett was the mother of , and Millard Jr., deceased, and Susan (Richard) and David (Edward). Burial was at Lakeview Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be made to a charity of choice in her name. Ferfolia Funeral Home handled arrangements. Comments
