Known as 'Shop Grandma'
Services were July 29 for Janet Bonk, nee Capek. Mrs. Bonk, 78, of Northfield, died July 24, 2010, at Windsong Care Center.
Mrs. Bonk was born to John and Susan Capek, both deceased, on June 5, 1932, in Cleveland. She worked for Ameritrust. Mrs. Bonk was an involved school mom, Scout mom and church volunteer. She was the founding president of the Western Reserve Knights of Columbus Isabella Guild, where she was active for many years. She was fondly known as "Shop Grandma" at her daughter's pet grooming salon where she most recently worked. She will be missed by many.
Mrs. Bonk was the wife of Peter; the mother of Peter (Kimberly), Christopher (Kathleen), John (Mary Kay) and Susan (Keith); and was a grandmother and great-grandmother.
Burial was at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
The family suggests contributions be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association, 23215 Commerce Park, Beachwood, Ohio 44122.
Ferfolia Funeral Home handled arrangements.
