Dave and Dee Roxbury of Northfield Center said they had the surprise of their lives when their children, Laura McCarthy and Michael Roxbury came all the way from Alaska to be here for their 50th anniversary.
Connie Sinko, their daughter who lives in Stow, and her husband Don planned the reunion for months and hosted the anniversary party.
The couple was married July 27, 1960, in Akron at ages 17 and 18 and built their home on Twinsburg Road.
The couple thanks their friends and family for a day they will never forget, as well as Alaska Airlines, who offered a bottle of wine as a gift when the crew found out the purpose of the trip to Ohio.
