Worked at Country Kitchen
Services were Aug. 9 at Resthaven Memory Gardens for Northfield Center resident Madeleine J. Kontur, (nee Delaplanche). Elder Mike Talentino officiated.
Mrs. Kontur, 85, died Aug. 4, 2010, at her home.
She was active with friends and parents of special needs children and had worked as a waitress and hostess at Country Kitchen restaurant.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen, and parents, Olivier and Augustine (nee Avignor) Delaplanche.
Mrs. Kontur was the mother of Lorrine (Eugene, deceased) Flanagan of Northfield Center, Lucienne (Ronnie) Clay, of Concord, N.C., and Michael Kontur, (her special angel) of Concord, N.C.
She was the grandmother of Jennifer George and Scott Rallya and great-grandmother of Matthew.
Arrangements were handled by Johnson-Romito Funeral Home.
Interment was at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon.
