Church in the Valley hosting sale Church in the Valley, 2241 Everett Road, Peninsula, will have a fundraiser garage sale and bake sale Aug. 14 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Robert (Robie) Black family are members of Church in the Valley. Robie has been fighting a long battle against cancer. Doughnuts and coffee will be available, with hot dogs, chips and soda at noon. Hope Community hosts 'Terrific Tuesdays' Hope Community Church, at 3033 Middleton Road in Hudson, will host "Totally Terrific Tuesday" (mini camp) Aug. 17 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Children can select two different activities each day, from building a bird house to baseball or T-ball. Redeemer Church to dedicate building Redeemer Church (PCA), 190 W. Streetsboro St. in Hudson, will dedicate its building at a special service Aug. 15 at 6 p.m. All are welcome. The church will serve refreshments and host fellowship following the service. Redeemer church has been in the area for 15 years. It purchased the building on West Streetsboro Street after its former occupant, the Evangelical Covenant Church of Hudson, closed in October 2009. It's 'Time for Toddlers' Hope Community has an exciting opportunity for parents and toddlers ages 18 to 30 months to interact with other parents and toddlers. There will be a total of six, 5-week sessions Sept. 17 through May 20, 2011. The first 5-week session begins Sept. 17 at 10:30 a.m. Cost for each session is $60, which includes a snack and craft supplies each week. To register, call the church office at 330-655-5170. Registration deadline for the first session is Aug. 27. Register for preschool Hope Preschool, a ministry of Hope Community Church, will offer three classes for three, four and five-year-old children for the 2010-11 school year. Classes are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings. The program offers early learning opportunities and children participate in circle time, arts and crafts, games and a special discovery time where activities related to science, math, music are planned. A Chapel time will be offered every other week and Christian music and lessons will be integrated into the teaching themes. The children will also have holiday parties, special programs and guest speakers throughout the school year.
