Thumbs Up ... to all those who helped put together and participated in the Aug. 14 Northfield Village Diamond Jubilee celebration. Village officials began planning the event to mark the village's 75th anniversary about six months ago. The festivities included a parade, festivities at Smith Park and were capped with a special race at Northfield Park. Various area businesses and groups, as well as village employees, also contributed money, time and services to the event.
The hard work put into the jubilee demonstrates a community spirit that marks the village as a wonderful place to live and do business.
